Cialis is a brand name and contains the active substance Tadalafil. So both Cialis and the generic Tadalafil work exactly the same. Because the effect of Cialis lasts up to 36 hours, it is known as “the weekend pill”. Ideal for when you have sex more spontaneously.
The active substance in Cialis is Tadalafil, Tadalafil improves blood flow to the penis, which promotes erection. PDE5 is an enzyme that causes blood vessel dilation. Tadalafil is a PDE5 inhibitor, so blood vessel dilation lasts better and longer. Sexual stimulation is required for effect, so if you are not sexually stimulated, you will not get an erection either.
User manual
The effect of Cialis lasts 24-36 hours and can therefore be taken well before sexual activity, or when the possibility of spontaneous sex is desired. The effect starts after 30-60 minutes, reaches a maximum after approximately 4 hours and disappears after 24-36 hours.
